As a daughter of DeKalb County, Dionne McGee has spent her entire life living, worshiping and
serving in the county. Dionne is a compassionate advocate and experienced leader who is
committed to public service. She is a graduate of Redan High School and of the University of
Georgia, where she earned a degree in Criminal Justice. She earned her Juris Doctor at the John
Marshall Law School in Atlanta. Dionne was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia and licensed
to practice law in 2000.
Dionne began her career as a prosecutor working as an Assistant Solicitor in the City Court of
Atlanta. In 2005, Dionne became Executive Director of Legal Services for the State Personnel
Administration of Georgia. There she practiced in the areas of labor and employment law and
managed the legal services division. Dionne returned to prosecution in 2009 as a Senior
Assistant Solicitor in the DeKalb County State Court, where serving as a lead trial attorney.
